Safe Living Space hosts an annual Brain Trauma - 5K in support of the 58 million people in the U.S. alone who live with brain trauma. We promote education and awareness about brain trauma so that more people have the tools to keep their brains safe! To us, it’s a #NoBrainer.
Brain TRAUMA 5K - Your Way
This March, join Safe Living Space for our "5K Your Way", where we're turning our focus to the vital theme of mental health in brain trauma. This year's event encourages you to walk, run, bike, swim, or pick any activity you enjoy, while raising awareness and fostering conversations about the mental health symptoms and challenges faced by those with brain injuries. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a casual participant, your involvement helps shine light on often overlooked psychological impacts and symptoms of brain trauma. Beyond the well-known symptoms, brain injuries can manifest in unexpected ways such as depression, anxiety, forgetfulness, and PTSD. Together, we can support those affected and promote understanding, making every step count toward a future where mental health is as prioritized as physical recovery. Join us in making strides for mental well-being -- your way!
